I once watched the YouTube video where Louie Giglio discusses the importance of laminin--a cell adhesion protein. To watch this clip, click here. Basically, laminin is the protein that holds all of our cells together. It keeps us functioning normally and protects us from degenerative diseases such as muscular dystrophy or progeria. Laminin is also made up of three parts--three in one, just like our triune God (the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.)
Amazing, isn't it? Laminin--called the "basement membrane" without which we would literally fall apart--is in the exact shape of the cross.

God is indeed an awesome God! All week I have been reading about MS. There is research being done that ties the milk protein Lactose to the breakdown of the myelin sheaths protecting the nerves. In some people they react to this protein as an alergen. The immune system attacks the protein but also begins to attack other proteins in the body leading to a breakdown in the cell walls. I am suspecting that my daughter has the beginnings of MS. My Father led me to this research and at church this morning I heard of Laminin, and the Daily bread booklet that I read for the day talked about the Pure Milk of the Word in Acts 15. I think it is just amazing and another way God shows himself everywhere to everyone and those who choose to not believe will not be in the Kingdom of Heaven. Try reading Romans, a book of The Bible, it talks about how he shows his glory everywhere and those who choose not to see it, will not have a place in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Sorry, Kate but the milk protein lactose does not destroy myelin. Number one, lactose is NOT a protein. Never was and never will be. Number two, ingested protein does not get transported in the blood intact... recall digestion and absorption of amino acids.
Laminins do not simply hold our cells together. There are a number of extracellular matrix proteins, all of which contribute to maintaining the integrity and stability of the basal lamina. Sorry to inform you, but it's very unlikely that laminins in solution even exist in such a rigid cross-like structure due to the laws of thermodynamics and the environment in which they exist.

One thing you have to remember is that in your body the molecule bends as it adheres to the cells around it. So the molecule appears not to be a perfect cross. The scientific drawing is when the molecule is outside the body - a cross. Whether this can be seen as proof of god's existence is in the eye of the beholder. A great teacher of mine told me you can only prove god to a certain point. You must make a leap of faith after that. The same thing goes if you do not believe. You can't really prove that god does not exist. You have to make a leap of faith in that direction. I chose to make my leap in the direction of god. I will pray for those who don't believe and hope they will some day see the truth.
